By pie in the sky I am referring to things that are way out in terms of financial gain for msft. I would expect msft VC portfolio to have say, 5 or so strong IPOs planned in the next few months to be considered a top-tier VC portfolio, preferably in the internet space. Thats what Amazon has after all. I mean this is microsoft, they should have the best portfolio companies don't you think? Whats the next IPO planned for a msft portfolio company anybody know? BTW the time to invest in Healtheon was a year ago imo. Investing in a public internet company is not really prudent in my book if you are msft, because they can go in prior to IPO and get a better deal. I like msft I'm just disappointed with their ventures, in my mind vulcan is much more agressive
