Mr. Freedman, the activity on this thread is not indicative of the excitement in the electronics retail segment of our market. I've been playing RSC (Rex Stores) a smaller electronics retailer, from 16 to its present 20 something. Tandy, a better comparison to CC, already reported above expectations. CC promises to do equally as well as they alerted earlier. I like CC long term and specially this week running up to earnings release.

<Tandy, Circuit City Report Increased Sales On Strong Demand

Consumer demand for new digital equipment is driving sales for Tandy Corp and Circuit City Stores Inc (Richmond, VA). At Tandy's Radio Shack chain, sales have risen 19% for April 1999 to $289.6 mil from $243.7 mil in April 1998. Circuit City reports that sales in its 600 electronics stores increased 17% to $666.3 mil in April 1999 from $571.5 mil in April 1998. Circuit City's CarMax Group posted an increase of 45% to $150.5 mil in April 1999, from $103.8 mil in April 1998. Tandy reported that Radio Shack's performance marks the fourth straight month of double-digit sales and that the most significant gains were in digital wireless phones, satellite systems and computers.>
