Jay, No YOU missed the point. If you would have read all my posts, you will see where I specifically stated that this is a Vector based technology, not a compression based.
The server software, does not send the file, it sends the instructions to re-build the file to a computer that has the re-coding software on it. Then the file is built with the instructions. The instructions are less then .001 the size of what the best compression available today could compress the file to. It is only the instructions that require bandwidth. But to the user it is a seamless delivery of the file.

Why don't you check with Marc Stringer, the systems engineer with Natural Micro Systems (NASDAQ-NMSS) that was quoted in the article. Tell him that you believe he is "blowing smoke". |
