Hi Craig....don't believe we are related, all my relatives love AOL :-) If I understand correctly, your complaint is getting knocked off by the AOL 45 minute timereminder, while you are in the middle of very important webbing using Netscape.

Cheapest solution I am aware of is to use MSIE from within AOL. At that point the interrupt "are you still here?" message is on top of your screen, not floating in the background. Click OK and move on....

If you really love Netscape, or if the whole timer thing is really a sore spot, going to an ISP as your primary access service is recommended. If AOL has features you do not want to miss, you can still subscribe to AOL on the $9.95 per month "bring your own access" plan. Meanwhile, under bring your own access, the AOL timereminder is nonexistent.

And if AOL has nothing you want, no problem, you're outta there.

Well, gotta run now, I been on for 46 minutes.... :-)

an AOL user and a long time long,

Brian Crawford (Joe AOL)
