If AND announces 500, 550 and 600 MHz K7's, just what fraction do you think will be at 600 MHz?

That tiny fraction may give AMD some bragging rights for a few months, but bragging rights don't put profits in the bank.

Delivering many millions of these CPUs at LOW COSTS is what counts.

And AMD has been a dismal failure at this for at least the past 4 years.

Intel can ship Coppermine with 440BX chip sets with 100 MHz SDRAM if they so choose.
