Paul - RE: "You and Spurway and Johal & Petz and Porter are all "raising the ante" on every post as to the incredible success AMD is going to have with the K7"

AMD's design team has been glorified.

We are all still skeptical of AMD's manufacturing team.

"NO ONE CUSTOMER has yet announced a K7 PC !"

We'll see what the situation is with Willamette. Wait a sec, we have Coppermine - and the same situation as the K7 exists!

"Now I'm sure AMD will get Compaq & CyberSmash to buy a few, but let's get real - just how many do they need to ship to make a profit?"

I dunno, but I wanna.

The only thing I know is they need $10,000 per wafer to break even. Is that a general rule of thumb for AMD, or only with the K6-2?
