The latter in my opinion. If I had to rate all the news releases MCF has put out in terms of importance and impact it would be #1) 1999/05/11, #2) 1999/04/12, and #3) 1999/06/09. You can tell from the markets response to #3 that as you say, "... even if they did, the stock will be unaffected by it." Don't kid yourself, just because MCF is on the TSE, does not mean it is not still a "spec stock". All spec stock promos (with very few exceptions) wind down during the summer.
