Balkans, shmalkans.

What's to debate?

I balk at bulking the Balkans into one book.

Everybody over there is crazy and nobody can get along.

If they can't kill anybody before breakfast, they sulk all day.

But, hey! They always got a good reason to kill. Sometimes it's politics, sometimes it's religion, sometimes it's both, sometimes it's neither. What the heck! If the bullet's in the gun how else you gonna get it out? Just firing it into the air makes no sense. Kill somebody!

But a 600 year old land claim is good enough reason for me to kill ten thousand people. Heck, in Israel their land claim is maybe 1400, maybe 2000 years old and pretty tenuous at that. Throw in some religion and the fact that their tenure elsewhere was not in acclamation and you have a good 50 year war. Everybody got into that one with relish it seems. Excepting some insignificant and politically disorganized Arabs. There is no point in respecting land tenure unless it's backed up by Jets better than an F15, and we know they don't have that.

I say if the other guy's tanks are not as good as ours, he is doing something wrong and deserves to lose whatever he is trying to control.

Otherwise, gas, tires or fruitcups will definitely rise in price and that is not the American way.

I love being right all the time. With a few more secret weapons we can extend that right for a century or more. Democracy is proving its worth to the world. With the exception of client states who supply us with cheap energy and large oriental conglomerations where democracy obviously won't work, democracy is obviously the best and most manipulatable government. You can get anybody elected that money can buy.
