EDS and Crosskeys Form Marketing Relationship: Inclusion of CrossKeys software in EDS' integrated service offering adds competitive differentiator for telecommunications clients
KANATA, ONTARIO--CrossKeys Systems Corporation (NASDAQ: CKEY - news; TSE: CKY - news), a leading supplier of software for telecommunication service providers, and global information technology (IT) services provider EDS today announced a marketing relationship that will enhance their clients' competitive advantage.

Under the agreement, EDS will include CrossKeys Resolve(r) performance management software in its end-to-end service offering to telecommunications service providers. The CrossKeys applications will help clients meet service- level guarantees -- which business customers in multiple industries are demanding -- by precisely assessing the performance of their network services and operations.

Charles Ansley, President of EDS' Communications Industry Group, says, ''As the leading IT services provider to the communications industry, we are committed to providing a complete, integrated solution. This solution includes network services, customer care, billing, electronic commerce and enterprise planning. Quality of service is a critical differentiator in this industry, and it is measured through service level agreements (SLAs) that the customer defines. CrossKeys performance management software and ability to manage SLAs are an excellent complement to our overall solution.''

Performance management and SLAs are the vital link for service providers moving forward to build next-generation networks in the face of increasing competition. The market for this service offering includes the large incumbent service providers and dynamic new entrants requiring the credibility of SLAs.

''This agreement means CrossKeys software will reach a huge potential marketplace,'' says Ian McLaren, President and CEO, CrossKeys. ''Being a key part in an integrated solution provided by EDS is a significant next-step in CrossKeys multivendor strategy. We are establishing the necessary relationships with systems integrators that will place our products in customers' hands.''
