AOL to be Premier Online Service on New, Internet-Focused HP Pavilion PCs
CompuServe Software to also be Installed on New HP Pavilion PCs
America Online, Inc. AOL , the world's leading interactive services company, today announced an agreement with Hewlett-Packard Company that will make it easier than ever before for consumers to go online with AOL through the new HP Pavilion PCs.
Through this agreement, the AOL software will be integrated into the new HP Pavilion PCs, giving consumers the ability to sign up and get online quickly and easily. Once online, consumers will have direct connections to AOL programming through the HP Pavilion PC's keyboard, which offers seven keys that link directly to AOL channels and features such as Entertainment, News, Shopping, Personal Finance, E-mail and Search.
CompuServe software will also be installed on new HP Pavilion PCs as part of this agreement; HP is the first partner to include the new CompuServe 2000 software, CompuServe's most significant software upgrade ever.
