Maybe she wanted to start a family and have some kids. Who knows....

I can only think that 'IF' a merger is proposed by a hardware manufacturer (ie. CSCO), then her job is not needed. IMO, I believe it was something really planned much earlier and not relevant to the current management problems being addressed.

In fact I met Mary last August when Steve Markman was in San Francisco and the group was announcing InternetWare. It seems that everybody else she was with has left (former CEO Frankenberg, former V.P. Marman, etc.).
