****TO ALL********* MUST READ*********
This is a response to a PM from John, Not Zeev, Zeev was just the last post...
Hi John, Just got in ...Ill make this public and answer your questions as it helps explain things.....
>>. Was there anything positive in the MusicCard startup kit you received?<<
There was no kit, just a box with 500 music cards, and each music card had the Babe Ruth Website url on the back..at that time the BR site was just in the building stage and it took a while to get a link put up to the MUSIC site..people had no way of knowing where to go to get there cd's....we also had a problem with the fact we were told people could pay with personal checks...we had a lot of cards returned weeks later after they were told you can not use a check by the phone operators...then after many requests from me they allowed checks for i believe 50.00 and up orders....

I also found out later after talking to some League presidents i know, that they had called the company on my recomendation to use the cards, but hung up the phone because even the rep answering the phone couldnt tell them how it works or what the benefits were.

>>2. If you where the marketing manager for the MusicCard program, what would you include or provide to make the sale easier and simpler for the parent or child?<<
First thing would be to train the phone reps on how the program works, they are the first line of communication..if they dont know how it works the deal is dead.
I would include in each kit, detailed instructions to be included with each card..i still get calls from people trying to figure out how to get cd's.
They should also include a nice presentaion with sales techniques for the league to better understand the benefits and to educate the volunteer...remember, the people selling these cards are doing it for free so it has to be easy as possible for them, once they get any agrivation they will stop pushing the product.

>>3. Do you believe the sale of the MusicCard is more logical or emotional to the customer, and why?
Emotional...10.00 is way to high so people just buy it to help out...My feelings are that most people will buy a cd after they hear a song they like and it is easier to go to a record store and pay a few dollars more to get it right away instead of 4 weeks.

>>4. Were you involved as a "beta tester" or paid assistant to TSIG in getting the Babe Ruth league program started?<<
Paid??HAHAHAHA.RG couldnt even find 2 minutes to call to say thanks for the largest deal he had ever signed for this company and he got it for free...Maybe i should send him my phone bills..this deal cost me over 2,000. with includes a trip to princeton...the only thing i got was a steak dinner from Rich..thanks RICH..it was GOOD!!
BTW ask Rich how many commission checks he has cashed so far.

>>5. How did you (or how would I) find out how to order the start up package, and what was the process you went through to make it happen.<<
Just call 1-800-enjoy baseball and see how they deal with you...
There was 2 ads in the BR magazine and they did some mailings.
