Ed,

I subscribe currently to Daily Graphs bi-weekly but soon I will be getting
it weekly. It's a good service which supplements the CANSLIM method. What
I particularly like are the industry rankings. I like to see EPS, RS, and
Industry rankings in the 90's for a potential stock.

The "Banks-Northeast" group, which includes LSBX, is currently ranked 8th out of
200 or so groups. Note that its ranking has been moving up steadily
along with other banking and financial groups, which shows the overall
strength of this sector. The top forty of DG's industry rankings is
peppered with these groups:

Group / Ranking

Finance - Investment Bkrs / 2
Banks - West / 5
Banks - Northeast / 8
Finance - Investment Mgmt / 9
Finance - Savings and Loan / 10
Banks - Southeast / 15
Insurance - Life / 16
Banks - Foreign / 23
Finance - Mortgage/Rl Est Inv. Trst / 27
Finance - Services/Misc / 28
Banks - Super Regional / 33
Banks - Midwest / 34
Banks - Southwest / 36

Although we've been seeing the bonds move downward lately, it is striking to see that
the banking and finance groups are moving upward in relative strength. I believe that
this signifies that the bond problems are temporary in nature and that smart money is
getting in during this worrisome period in the market.

That's the logic that I'm "banking" on.

Wolf.

PS. For all you NCAA fans, GO UCLA!!!
