Well I guess a formal announcement is warranted here. I've changed my name from "faqsnlojiks" to what you see here. There were several reasons for this name change, "faqsnlojiks" was too hard to spell, remember, or figure out. Every couple of days someone would ask me what it meant, and how I came up with it...and the story was getting stale. I even had one guy from Finland ask me if it was a Finnish name...LOL.
Anyway, the change was made to reflect my confidence in, and gratitude towards the Point-and-Figure method of Technical Analysis. Although I'm just a newbie in this form of charting equities, it already has helped me to make some great moves. P&F gives me a real confidence in the timing of buys and sells, that I never had prior to learning this method. If interested, please visit the P&F threads here on SI, and look into buying "Point and Figure Charting" by Tom Dorsey (who also frequents the P&F thread). P&F has led me to buy CAMP (a 909-squared-plus since my buy-in at 2.5), ORCL (at 24 PRE-split <18 post-split>), GNET (on the pull-back to 96), and CNXT (at 37). Of course the last two of these were brought to my attention through FA from other sources, but the timing of the purchases (and partial sells) was strictly through P&F.
I have also found that P&F fits great with Techride! Most of the stocks that pop-up here tend to look great on the P&F chart.
I'm not used to the new name yet, but hopefully I'll get more comfortable with it at time goes on. But rest assured, I'm just the same 'ol Joe.
909's,
-Joe
