Clark The big advantage of CDMA-2000 is that you can deploy a CDMAOne system now and know it can be relatively cheaply upgraded later. As you suggested however the choice is not simply one of price and performance is it? The DS and MC modes use different frequency allocations so in Europe we could see CDMA2000 overlays of GSM and WCDMA networks in new frequency allotments...Here in US it probably won't be possible to build a WCDMA network.... dave
