Jazzss, The only thing you're gonna accomplish by your attacks on John, is that you'll turn this thread into a pissing contest. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, and everyone is allowed to change that opinion if they choose to.
I notice that when someone posts their opinion, you feel a deep seeded need to try to "expose" them. You use very weak and vague arguments that only end up "exposing" your own attitudes and prejudices.
So far, John has been very up-front and direct in answering any questions that I've had. He has openly admitted that he "...was long MCF at the $1 level", and has since changed his approach as the performance of the stock itself has changed. He's admitted that he has based his decisions mostly on past experiences with other stocks, summer time trading patterns that are apparent to him, and probably most important - his own gut feeling. He has also admitted that one of his approaches to trading is to short sell. His answers haven't seemed (to me) to be dishonest, vague, or bashing, nor do I have any objections to his past posts.
If I recall, Jazzss, you too have posted on this thread (based on your beliefs at the time) some things that have never materialized. Possibly, we all have made similar types of posts. It does not mean that we're dishonest, or that we harbor ulterior motives.
I'm sure when MCF begins to move upwards with strong support, John will once again change his investment approach. There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with this, as far as I'm concerned.
You'd gain much more credibility if you didn't rob people of their right to an opinion and, rather, converse with them and share the various perspectives that exist when it comes to investing. That is, IMO, what these threads are for. If someone's perspective is laced with deceit, you may want to trust that it will be revealed through the conversations on these threads and the appropriate line of questioning and interactions.
