Actually, I was born in Salina,Kansas but was transplanted to Texas in 1942.
Therefore, I am convinced I have been here long enough to be classified as a Texan. Crockett, Bowie, Travis, and Houston were not born in Texas either, but they soon aquired the status of first class citizens.
