This issue is complicated and not addressed in the piece, which btw I read in May when it came out but I don't have qcom right now so didn't recall. But in any case the insider sales issue pertains to the ericksson merger and how options were treated, this is a complicated matter but the gist of it is the transferred R&D employees don't get to retain their options as they move to ericksson. Therefore, some of them are in a position that they must exercise their shares. THe division that is moving to ericksson represents less than 1/5 of total empolyees if I recall but it is engineering R&D therefore a heavy option burden. There is no way to quantify what the effect is here but saying "a bunch of insider sales have occurred" with no quanification is a little misleading.

OK I need another Latte before I can come up with #2 or #3, but believe me I WILL come up with something here... since I know the alternative is total humiliation on the myth board....
