Chaim: EBAY did not install a free software patch that wasn't implemented in Sun's Solaris and a third-party applications software. The patch was free and a year old but EBAY had not incorporated it. It took so long to get the site back since EBAY had to recreate their own files. This news was posted by a ML analyst. ie.e. It was not SUNW's fault
