From 7 to 8am PST we had problems with access through BCTel. The following is from our System Status page:

Mon June 14 There have been brief Internet brown-out conditions which may be affecting connectivity for some users.
UPDATE: Our ISP is having trouble with one of their gateway servers and they are feverishly working on it. There is no need to send any more tracert or other information.
There have been no problems with our servers and this is unfortunately beyond our control.

As far as your problems 2->4 it looks as if the queries the applets were making to our database were not getting serviced. Sometimes this can happen if your browser did not set your "cookie" correctly or it thinks that your are logged in a 2nd time. Or we may not have been able to service your queries because of connectivity problems. It should be working now.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience. We will continue to try and improve our service. Emailing the webmaster was the right think to do and is the fastest way to focus our attention.

I'd be interested in more specifics about the lag you noticed in market depth. Which exchange and what time of day. Our monitors did not detect a problem.
