(NYSE:SFA - news) said Monday it planned to increase production of the boxes that enable customers to receive cable and Internet services through their televisions to 500,000 units per quarter. Scientific-Atlanta said it originally planned to increase production of the Explorer 2000 digital interactive set-tops to 375,000 units from 250,000. The company said it now plans to reach 500,000 units per quarter by the end of the year. To date, 17 cable operators in the United States and Canada have committed to use Scientific-Atlanta's digital interactive system, the company said. Regards, Kash
