Thats one of the reasons why its valuable cuz there is so little of it. duh

Why are you relying upon me to teach you basic macro-economics??

Gold has only exacerbated economic problems, not resolved them.

How can there be economic growth if all you're worried about is preserving the value of a currency stuffed in your mattress or bank account??

Economic growth comes from forcing those who hold currency (electronic or physical) to put it to work by investing it (taking risk) or to spend it (consuming).

Ask the Japanese what happens when everyone decides to hoard their cash and not invest or spend it.

It's called a liquidity trap.

It appears to me that you do not favor honesty in the markets?

Of course I do. That's why I favor the CBs selling their gold and restoring balance into a commodity market for it.

They should have sold all of that gold when we left the gold standard. In fact, they should have sold it when gold hit $800/ounce and gotten a better price for it.

Regards,

Ron
