Why not focus on first-tier whenever possible ... if the sector growth is for real, the first-tier will take off again and the wealth will eventually spread to the second tier. If the sector growth is bogus, the first-tier will be the last to fall and the second-tier will get killed again.

First tier: AMAT, NVLS, KLAC, TER ... same old mantra.

Second tier: ASML, CYMI, PRIA, ASYT

There's a whole slew of other semis with developing stories ... but one needs to keep on top things since they can and do change on a dime.
