Agree that the Fed won't raise rates at this time.

They don't have to!!

All the freting has pushed the long bond up to 6.1 or so anyway; thus obviating the need.

The only possible reason, IMVHO, would be to 'get it done' before the presidential campaign gets into full swing. thus avoiding being perceived as partisan.
