Uncle, unless digital TV comes down to the few hundreds dollar range, a one for one replacement for current TV, it will have slow penetration, IMHO. You must also assume that some of the sub $700 PC that are being sold are mostly I-net interface, thus to the extent that D-TV will act as an i-appliance it will eat into the low end PC which is a surrogate to the I-appliance. Consumer have only so much money they make and only so much debt they are going to take on. I already see anecdotal signs of inventory build up (CPQ has 1 month in the channel and one month on the docks, the other box makers might have similar if slightly less pressing inventory problems, I get 4 times as many mailers giving me a "break" of $2000 on a new car, all signs of inventory imbalances). So sure, there are going to be new market for DRDRAM, but do not count these twice.
