I agree. Also note that according to Salmon Smith Barney:
a. The average hourly earnings increase has been moderating since 1998.
b. The "index of aggregated hours worked has barely risen over
the last three months," and the unemployment rate has been below 4.5 since November 1998. If lower unemployment is putting pressure on wages wouldn't aggregate earnings be raising?
c. Gold has fallen to its lowest level in 20 years, and other commodities such as silver and copper are not that much better.

They could still raise rates, but why?
