Del, I do agree with everything you say about saving the earth's resources. And in the not too distant past I definitely have called the father of four a warm, nurturing papa (he was). It's just that there is NO NEED for anyone to live several hundred years! It strikes me as kind of gross, really. And the fact that you had only one child does not put you in a category of people who are automatically eligible for extra longevity, either. Do you think it does? I have one child, and I don't think it entitles me to anything at all (except a few more years of headaches and heartaches and holding my breath until she becomes an adult).
