Paul - RE: "But in 6 months, expect Intel to LOWER the voltage as they make process improvements."

Ahh, ok. I thought that maybe the 1.5 was here to stay.

"Intel's 0.18 micron 400 MHz Pentium II, at 9.8 watts MAXIMUM is 40% BELOW th epower dissipation of AMD's Kmart 63 (0.25 micron) running at only 380 MHz."

Gee, .18 vs. .25. I wonder who will win. (Trying saying that as fast as you can 3 times!)

Let me guess, even at .25 vs. .25, Intel's chip still wins.

Retail customers don't seem to care, though. In April, AMD had a 30% share (in notebooks), of which most chips were K6-2 P, or the fake mobile K6-2 which uses more power than its Intel counterpart.
