Interesting sunny, but cable modems are "materially insignificant" in all respects now and for the fore-seeable future, IMO. Mainly because the cable companies are as slow as molasses to deploy anything. The cable companies that have been "test-marketing" internet cable-access have been doing so for almost a year now, and the numbers of actual cable-modem surfers are still miniscule.

Furthermore, by the time the cable companies offer wide-spread availability of cable-access to the internet, most of us will undoubtably be surfing with xdsl modems over regular copper phone lines. IMO.
