These projections SCARE me... redherring.com Feel free to read 'em yourself, but here's what scares me. According to "IPO experts" in the article, Viant is expected to be the hottest IPO of the week, with about a $3 first-day pop. They expect $1-2 out of CARI. I realize that nobody, including these "experts," really knows what will happen. I doubt that any of them thought that phone.com would go 300% on its first day. But if they are right, first day pops in the $1-3 range will probably turn into losses very quickly unless the market does a dramatic turnaround.
