all the major players in the online world use SUN and ORACLE. if eBay crashed, it's probably because of booming demand for their services too.

I see this as normal, just like plane crash, tornados or natural disasters. Any human-made system still has this risk although it is claimed as fault tolerance. So, it doesn't bother me.

On another note, herd mentality always play key role in market out of equilibrium. We all know that the market volume in May was down quite a bit. We also see summer usually is a slow quarter for this sector. There is also a continuation of "flight to OLBs". To put things into perspective: ask yourself the following question:
In ten years of time, will there be more or less people take care their financial matters online?
