Shane:

From my knowledge of the electric market, contracts are written with recourse. The problem is that the counter party may be bankrupt.

The electricity is not always traded is on a organized market where a cleaning house guarantees that the contracts will be honored (but not the prices).

What kind of insurance will cover the delivery from a vendor when the vendor goes bankrupt? I do not believe that in this case it is general business insurance. I do not know ,if in fact, York has the specialized insurance needed in this case.
