The Street will focus on quality of earnings -- & revenues for that matter, not just the earnings figure. Remember why ORCL tanked down to present levels -- no evidence of its Internet strategy taking hold.

If there is some top line evidence in the #s that the strategy is making its way into the company's financials, IMHO the stock will move into the 30s, not necessarily immediately, but over the intermediate term -- provided we don't have an overall market correction in face of the prospect of rising interest rates.

There is so much pent-up demand for this stock, but the big money, which focuses on next Q #s has been content to put its money elsewhere until ORCL can "speak" revenues from its financials & not just from its press releases & public statements.

If we don't see any indication of the strategy taking hold, we will be stuck in the same trading range until next Q or more. Focus strictly on this Q's #s is IMHO a bit misplaced.
