Amy,
RE: Intel Investors - EBAY isn't the only company having crashing problems with SUN Microsystems 100% UP TIME Software/Hardware."
Paul,
Maybe Intel PC Server farms could host/transact/service for: -eBay -Esites -Websites -Broadcast.com -E*trade -JamTV
Sure Intel could, when they get rolling with the server farms. However, what makes you think Intel would do RAS any better than Sun? As a stockholder, I hope so, but how do we know yet? I mean, Sun talks the talk as well as anyone, almost (I also thought they walked the walk, too.). One thing is for sure: these super high visibility sites such as on-line trading, auction and other direct sales, are sure going to bring one bright spotlight down on the server and other hardware providers' RAS. Makes me think I should add the inventor of this acronym, IBM to my portfolio (on their next downturn). Intel only need look to IBM for how to do RAS (I know that Intel already is committed to it big time, but the big guy is still the leader).
