Ed Forrest I'm responding to your post, Ed, but only as a general comment to the entire board. My name is Kerry and I'm a long-time follower of this board, only recently signing up as a paying, lifetime member (must have something to do with my Scottish heritage).
I've been long on aol since 12/94 and I'm in as an investor, not a trader. I've been tempted to "trade" this stock from time to time, but my attempts at timing the market resemble those of most others.
I've learned alot from several long-time members of this board, whose names many others here have praised periodically. I've also learned to spot some of the people who chirp up now and then, apparently for their own financial benefit. Such is life in a "free" society.
Other than this rather lengthy self introduction, I don't expect to say much—but when I do share something, it will be an attempt to repay all of you for your past insights with some honest opinion of my own.
I'm not much of a cheerleader, but I do have a solid belief in aol. That it's been very good to me in the past doesn't have much to do with it, either. Like many others here, I believe in the impact the net is creating in our lives and it's still just in its infancy. The tornado will continue. Only each individual's investment strategy will determine whether or how their actions are determined by short term events.
I wish the best to all you longs, and shorts, too—and now I'll shut up and go be embarrassed that I said so much to all of you.
