Summary of 12:15 CNBC interview of Eric Schmidt. . E-commerce is THE killer application and will touch everybody. It is actually under-hyped as to its real potential. . His warning of lawsuits regarding Y2K are related to Washington lobbying to control such liabilities. Novell sees no major problems and is working with their customers to be ready. . Sees no sales slowdown related to Y2K. . Regarding rumor about going to Compaq he said that he was very happy at Novell and he doesn't respond to such rumors. At least he got four minutes. CNBC gave Steve Ballmer of Microsoft ten minutes last week.
