The AMDroids can rejoice - AMD introduced their 400 MHz K6-2P for MOBILE applications running at 2.2 volts and a TYPICAL power of 12+ watts, 3 watts more than the MAXIMUM power dissipated by Intel's 0.18 micron 400 MHz Dixon.
AMD even trotted out their little monkey to announce a notebook PC using the chip.
Compaq was, of course, the only AMD monkey to make such an announcement.
Note - AMD DID NOT ANNOUNCE a 400 MHz Kmart 63 notebook chip !
