Re: East coast
Neo...I am sorry to burst your bubble but, there are a vast number of people who detest the megalopolis system of existence. Many of us, without being fanatical tree huggers, prefer some breathing air without the carbon monoxide being pumped through our systems. We appreciate trees and know that humans rely on them for oxygen. Now, before you remind me that Houston is almost the same as a megalopolis, let me say that you may not be familiar with the area. Inside the loop, it is almost exactly like any Eastern large city. This may be because, partly, due to the huge migration of citizens from your area but, just a short drive from downtown are very non-urban conditions. For instance, I live just 1/2 mile outside the city limits in the northwest quadrant and even though a large shopping mall and all other urban conveniences are only 5 minutes away, cattle graze across the road from my house in a moderately forested area. I like that!!! Maybe Derek does too.
