Ray, I would agree with you to some extent, but I think the market
has already discounted INTC on this anticipation and raised AMD for
the same reason. The market expects AMD to announce a 200mhz K6 and
volume shippments. That's why INTC has taken such a dump and AMD has
been soaring "Buy on rumor, sell on news". The real action will be
if (as I expect) AMD disappoints on April 2. This has been one of the
alltime great mass hysteria fiascos. The smoke will clear and we will
really see what AMD has. Performance as good as they claim? What do
they actually claim? "Better that same clock speed PPro". No one knows
what that means and AMD won't tell us (yet). It may mean faster at
running 16bit code when it will all fit into the 64k LevelI cache.
What does a company with no customers, no track record, and on the
brink of bankrupcy have to loose by hyping? Do you expect them to say
"Our new product, which we have bet the farm on, will only be so-so"?

I suppect that AMD will disappoint on April 2.
