The new CEO is the wrong choice. The fact that they chose an Internet guru shows that NOVL is trying to position itself as a pure internet player and I believe that they are too late. NOVL's earnings will remain stagnant or fall further this year and will fail to convince Wallstreet that the company is anything but a negative growth company. The Internet guru they hired is all that he is...technical. He has no experience in leading a company out of the doldrums. What we needed was a marketing guru.....not another Bill Gates immitator. The Internet awards thus far have all been going towards SUNW (for Java), NSCP (for Netscape browser) and MSFT (for Windows NT platform). It is better to invest in SUNW than in NOVL. Technology companies are embracing JAVA like nothing else seen in this world and it could one day take over Windows. This is a SUCKERS rally and will be short lived. We will see $8 1/4 within three months. V.K
