Bearshark, i also think the strength may dissipate a bit later on in view of CPI tomorrow. currently there seems to be a growing consensus that the CPI won't be all that bad; i have no opinion on this,trying to forecast such numbers is by and large useless imo. i think though that the Fed will raise the fed. funds rate regardless of tomorrow's CPI, simply to cool off demand a bit and catch up with market rates. we'll see how the market reacts to the numbers if the are positive (the reaction to a negative number is pre-ordained imo); if a positive number elicits a negative reaction, a bottom is not yet in.
