oh crap - get into the real world, Hassell! Do you really think companies give any real credence to what we highly interested afficionados say? They're dealing with much bigger issues. Nonetheless they may find it interesting and worthwhile to be aware of the talk amongst us if only to spot those who are acting with devious intent, the rumor-mongerers who are acting to drive the stock down. I am speaking of all high techs, not just Ascend or USRX. The supposed message from an Ascend employee could easily be a plant as you may have suspected when you said "assuming this message is real"; it would be wiser to assume it's NOT real however much comfort it may provide one. As I said before I doubt anyone will take the trouble to shed light in this manner ever again. Why bother? You can believe it or not believe it, suit your prejudices or predispositions. The facts will out in time and in the end it isn't going to mean beans. As for what "the consortium" or "cabal" or whatever may be doing to sow disinformation, to be honest I had NO exposure to those theories before hopping over here just the other day. If that sort of thing is happening I wouldn't be surprised - nor should you. Everyone's out to protect his ass ets. What I do hear here is a lot of fear that the 56Kflex crowd might be very effective in what they're purportedly trying to accomplish. Who'll prevail? Remains to be seen, I think, especially when the public at large decides that 56k is what they want - and if that's not for a few months it could be a very level playing field. And if you gambled against that occurring you could have a very real problem. Dee Jay
