Message to people who read Yahoo:

1. I have noticed repeated unfounded speculation about ANCR/"Blue" on both Yahoo and Motley Fool boards. I and other longtime longs like have tried to dampen this expectation since the word that many longs have heard from a variety of sources is that BRCD has won "Blue" ( at least initially ).While "Blue" has obvious "name" recognition, over the next 6-12 months the amount of FC switch volume it is likely to ship pales in comparison to Sun, which already has the largest customer base of fibre channel installations.. I have heard Blue's FC is unlikely to ramp until Q3/4 Year 2000...these are "anonymous" sources that have no connection to Ancor official sources. Ancor mgmt will not discuss Blue or any other potential OEM that has not officially announced its plans. I and others have tried many times to get clarity from Ancor mgmt but they are sticking to their guns, citing NDA's,etc,etc... It is also possible that perhaps the situation is fluid, particularly with the Sun announcement, however, I do not have any more recent info/rumors that would contradict the predictions that Blue is in the BRCD camp.

I will also heard reiterate word is that SGI went with BRCD and this info/reason why was posted over the weekend. Again, this information can be obtained from industry people outside of Ancor.

2. Regarding the Piper Jaffrey conference, I believe Ancor is presenting around 4-4:30 PM central time. It has been my observation that these fund people don't go rushing out to load up on ANCR right after these presentations. I believe that institutions who have been accumulating ANCR in recent weeks are some of the same people who attended the Morgan Keegan conference and SG Cowen conference weeks/months ago, ie there was a lag effect as they waited to see evidence that the Company could execute ( win large OEM companies liek HDS and Sun ) before taking positions. These people are not day traders.

I would venture to say that ANCR mgmt does not want its stock price to go hyperbolic, but rather to trade up gradually in order so that the stars can align themselves for the probable NMS listing and Follow-on offering. They simply don't want to scare away the Institutional guys.
