"I was thinking the margin calls would be due by
close of biz Thursday "

That assumes no negative feedback from a further decline.-eg-

I don't know, of course, where bonds and stocks will end up.
But bonds seem to me to have a serious downside bias,
vulnerable to CPI,Starts or IP surprises tomorrow,
somewhat capped by a Fed hike and dampened by hedging activity.
Furthermore, oil is quietly going to $20 by the end of the year
at this economic pace and with Japan potentially coming back on-line.

Regarding oil, the following is the %chg of the 20DMA for the nearby.
Jan 3.6%
Feb -3.9%
Mar 18.9%
Apr 19.3%
May 2.9%
Jun 1.9%
Keep in mind these are month-to-month changes that permeate much
of the economy and are 10-15% of the PPI/CPI indices. Annualized
they are not a pretty picture. BWDIK.
