here's what needs to be kept in mind:

oracle has unlimited ability to manipulate license revenues as much as necessary.

If he's willing to see erp sales fall of a cliff, larry and crew can take a $1 million transaction and recognize $25,000 in erp back office revenues and $975,000 in front office revenues.

what would be most interesting (and probably not disclosed) is if Oracle actually sold any crm systems without back office or underlying database sales...betcha it didn't happen and may never happen.

Oracle's crm offering is a non-versatility joke, gartner group reports are most amusing. Larry strikes today, and tom strikes back harder next month.
