No, I didn't suppose it would be.
If you don't understand how litigation works, it may be helpful to understand that at the beginning, unless a lawsuit is just not credible on its face, the court is going to take the Plaintiff's word for it, and let the Plaintiff have the discovery. So if you claim that John Doe deliberately, fraudulently, and maliciously libeled your Plaintiff, you are going to get a subpoena to get John Doe's name and address.
Maybe people who don't want their privacy violated could try giving false names and addresses to places like SI, or Yahoo, or the Motley Fools, I suppose that would be one additional line of defense. |
