Why do you waste your time talking about the gold standard? This hasn't been the case for a long time. Also I'm not with Richard as an admirer of Ann Rand and her cardboard characters. What is irrefutable is gold's importance as a reserve asset - if you read that table that was posted today - you will see that it gives the lie to much of your view of gold as 'just another commodity'
