Sorry, Your "Engineers" don't have a clue
I'm currently building the damn system for MetroCom here in New York City, so don't try to tell me it can't be done, since we are ALREADY DOING IT by installing hundreds of lamp post repeaters each month.
Granted, it will only work in urban centers, but the additional abilities any two way system will offer far outweight any push satellite radio system working digitally in the middle of Colorado when I can just as easially pop in a CD. Take a look at Iridium, which is a perfect example on how wireless profits are in micro markets, not the macro's.
You tunnel visioned morons don't realize that the Internet is not about Browsing or Etailers, it's about hundreds of different wireless devices interacting with a common communications back bone offering infinate application possibilities. CDRD is nothing more than a glorified radio, hardly worth building in this Internet age. Once CDRD admits bankrupcy, you'll probably see them sell their assets to a beeper paging system looking for a backup coverage system.
Look, you guys can blow smoke up your butts all you want. I've seen the future of Car Radios, and it ain't anything CDRD will ever bring to market, even if they ever manage to get any more idiots to lend them more money. with their current poor debt rating they don't stand a chance of ever funding the completion without diluting this stock into yellow water. |
