Someone earlier pointed out that the SEC usually only halts 10 companies a year. That is a very low number considering the thousands of publicly traded companies in this country.

We all know how many highly questionable companies never get halted. It is probably reasonable to say that the SEC does not halt a company unless there is something really seriously wrong with the company.
