Here is a good summary of the ORCL conference call:

Message 10132091

BTW - I'd like to thank ya'll for a great thread. I'm a Market Gems member, never posted here though... I'm slowly becoming a day trader... the waters are pretty dangerous right now though.

I've been a lurker for a while, still getting my feet wet... actually got 'em burned back in April, loaded up on calls on internet stocks on April 18/19 and got killed, due to failure of my crystal ball, I didn't stay in or get back in, so recovery will take a while, so I decided to go do some homework. Now I'm selectively and carefully doing a little short term trading, some puts yesterday on CMGI, NITE, and EXDS worked out well, and some covered calls (obviously not on the same stocks) are doing OK. I can see that there is good money in short term trading in stocks (or very carefully, options). I admire your guts, your persistence, your careful approach, and your helpfullness to each other.

Anyway, here's my 2 cents worth: ORCL looks good to me, maybe it'll even close the gap at 35. It was up to 28-29 in after hours trading. My money is where my mouth is.

Until later, I'll be lurking...

Thanks,
George
